Inappropriate Shirts Company

Terms &
Conditions

Care Label — the short version

  • Every shirt is printed after you order it, so cancellations and changes are only possible within 8 hours.
  • We replace or refund anything that arrives defective, misprinted, damaged, or wrong. Tell us within 15 days.
  • We don't take returns for a change of mind or the wrong size ordered. Check the size chart first.
  • Our designs are meant to be funny and some of them are crude. You have to be 18 or older to buy.
  • The designs are ours. Wear them, don't copy them.

This summary is for convenience only. The full terms below are what actually govern your purchase.

Section 01Who we are

This website and store at inappropriate-shirts.com (the “Site”) is operated by Joseph Kuzma, trading as Inappropriate Shirts (“we,” “us,” “our”). Our mailing address is 3765 Pine Cone Rd, Melbourne, FL 32934 and you can reach us at info@inappropriate-shirts.com.

“You” means the person browsing the Site or placing an order.

Section 02Accepting these terms

By browsing the Site, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or buy from us.

These terms apply to every visitor and customer, and they form the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of the Site and any order you place. Any additional terms you try to impose — for example on a purchase order — have no effect unless we agree to them in writing.

Section 03Eligibility and age

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to place an order. By ordering, you confirm that you meet that requirement and that any payment method you use belongs to you or that you are authorized to use it.

We do not knowingly sell to minors. If we learn that an order was placed by someone under 18, we may cancel it and refund the payment.

Section 04The nature of our designs

Our products carry humorous, satirical, irreverent, and sometimes crude or offensive designs. That is the point of the brand, and product titles and images make the content of each design clear before you buy.

Nothing we print is intended as a factual statement, an endorsement, or a claim about any real person, group, product, or event, and any resemblance to a real person or entity is parody or coincidence. Slogans and disclaimers printed on our products are jokes, not promises: for example, a shirt that says you will have a lucky day does not make you lucky.

You are responsible for deciding where and when it is appropriate to wear a given design. We are not responsible for how anyone else reacts to a shirt you choose to wear, or for any consequence of wearing it in a school, workplace, or other setting with its own rules.

Section 05Accounts

You can check out as a guest or create an account. If you create one, keep your password confidential and give us accurate information. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, and you should tell us promptly at info@inappropriate-shirts.com if you think someone else is using it.

We may suspend or close an account that we reasonably believe has been used for fraud, abuse, or a breach of these terms.

Section 06Products, sizing and color

We describe each product as accurately as we can, including fabric, weight, fit, and the blank garment brand. Blank garment brands and blends can change between production runs, and where a product listing names more than one possible brand, we may use any of them.

Color. Screens vary. The color you see on your monitor or phone is an approximation and will not match the garment exactly. Small variations in dye lot between garments of the same stated color are normal and are not defects.

Print placement. Because each item is printed individually, minor variation in print placement, sizing, and ink density is normal. We treat a difference of up to half an inch in placement as within tolerance.

Sizing. Sizes follow the manufacturer's chart, which is published on each product page. Measure a shirt you already own and compare before ordering — ordering the wrong size is not a defect and is not covered by Section 14.

Care. Wash inside out in cold water and tumble dry low. Damage caused by hot washing, bleach, high-heat drying, or ironing directly over the print is not covered.

Availability. We may add, change, or discontinue any product or variant at any time, and quantities may be limited.

Section 07Pricing and taxes

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and exclude shipping and tax unless stated otherwise. Shipping and any applicable sales tax are calculated and displayed at checkout before you pay.

We may change prices at any time, but a change will not affect an order we have already accepted. If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price because of a typographical or system error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than honor the error, even after the order is confirmed.

Section 08Placing an order

Your order is an offer to buy. The confirmation email you receive after checkout acknowledges that we got your order; it does not accept it. Acceptance happens when we send the item into production or ship it, and that is when the contract between us is formed.

We may refuse or cancel any order, in whole or in part, including where a product is out of stock, the price or description was wrong, we cannot verify the payment or shipping details, the order looks fraudulent, or the order appears to be for resale without our agreement. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we refund it in full.

Please check your shipping address carefully at checkout. Section 12 explains what happens when an address is wrong.

Section 09Payment

We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Payment is processed by third-party payment providers, and your card or account details are handled by them under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

By submitting payment details you confirm that you are entitled to use that payment method and that there are sufficient funds to cover the order. If a payment is declined or reversed, we may cancel the order.

Section 10Production time

Every item is made to order. Printing typically takes 2-5 business days before an order ships, and multi-item orders may ship in more than one package or leave together once the slowest item is finished.

Production and delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees, and can move during holidays and peak periods. Missing an estimate is not, by itself, grounds for cancellation or a refund.

Section 11Changes and cancellations

Because items are printed on demand, we can only change or cancel an order before it enters production. Email info@inappropriate-shirts.com within 8 hours of ordering with your order number and what you need changed, and we will do it if the order has not yet gone to print.

Once an item is in production the order is final and cannot be cancelled, resized, or redirected. This includes address changes, so please get the address right at checkout.

Section 12Shipping and delivery

Transit typically takes 3-7 business days after an order ships, depending on the service selected at checkout and the destination. We send tracking details by email when your order leaves the facility.

Title and risk of loss pass to you when the carrier takes possession of the package. Once a parcel is with the carrier, delivery timing is in their hands.

Wrong or incomplete addresses. If a package is returned to us because the address you gave was wrong or incomplete, or because it went unclaimed, we can reship it once you pay the shipping again. If you would rather have a refund, we refund the product price less shipping and a reasonable handling cost.

Packages marked delivered. If tracking shows delivery but you cannot find the parcel, check with your household and neighbors and file a claim with the carrier. We are not responsible for theft after delivery, but contact us anyway and we will help you pursue the carrier claim.

Lost in transit. If tracking has not moved for a reasonable period, contact us and we will open a claim with the carrier. Where a package is confirmed lost, we reprint or refund at our discretion.

Section 13International orders

Where we ship outside the United States, you are the importer of record. Customs duties, import taxes, VAT, and brokerage fees are your responsibility, are not included in the price you pay us, and are usually collected by the carrier on delivery.

Customs clearance can add delay we cannot control. If a parcel is refused, abandoned, or seized because duties were not paid or because the design is not permitted in the destination country, we cannot refund it.

Section 14Returns, refunds and exchanges

What is covered. Because items are made to order, we accept claims for items that arrive defective, misprinted, damaged in transit, or materially different from what you ordered — the wrong design, color, or size on our end.

How to claim. Email info@inappropriate-shirts.com within 15 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the item and the issue. We may ask for a photo of the packaging or of the garment tag. We will approve a replacement or a refund to your original payment method, at our option, and we will not usually ask you to ship the item back.

What is not covered. Change of mind; ordering the wrong size, color, or design; normal variation in color, dye lot, and print placement as described in Section 6; wear, fading, or damage from washing and drying against the care instructions; and items altered after delivery.

Refund timing. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Your bank or card issuer decides how quickly the credit appears, typically within a few business days of us issuing it.

Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the place you live.

Section 15Chargebacks

If something is wrong with your order, contact us first — it is faster than a dispute and we will fix genuine problems. Filing a chargeback for an order that was delivered as described, or that is outside the coverage in Section 14, is a breach of these terms, and we may respond to the dispute with our fulfillment and tracking records and decline future orders from you.

Section 16Intellectual property

All designs, artwork, slogans, product photography, page copy, logos, and the arrangement of the Site are owned by us or licensed to us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Buying a shirt gives you the shirt. It does not give you any right in the design.

You may not reproduce, print, scan, trace, upload, resell, or make derivative works from our designs, and you may not use our name, logo, or product images for commercial purposes, without our written permission. You may share photos of yourself wearing our products on social media.

If you believe material on the Site infringes your copyright, send a notice with the details of the work, the location of the material, your contact information, and a statement of good-faith belief to info@inappropriate-shirts.com, and we will investigate and remove infringing material where appropriate.

Section 17Reviews and other content you post

You can leave product reviews, ratings, and comments. You keep ownership of what you post, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, and display it in connection with the Site and our marketing, with attribution to the display name you posted under.

You confirm that what you post is your own, is accurate, and does not infringe anyone's rights. Do not post anything unlawful, defamatory, harassing, sexually explicit, hateful toward a protected group, or containing another person's private information. Do not post fake reviews or reviews written in exchange for undisclosed compensation.

We may edit, refuse, or remove any submission at our discretion, but we are not obliged to monitor submissions and are not responsible for content posted by users.

Section 18Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable law;
  • place orders using a stolen or unauthorized payment method, or with false details;
  • scrape, spider, harvest, or systematically copy content, product data, or images from the Site;
  • probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Site, or bypass any security or rate-limiting measure;
  • introduce malware, or overload or interfere with the Site's operation;
  • frame or mirror the Site, or misrepresent your affiliation with us; or
  • resell our products commercially without our written agreement.

We may block access, cancel orders, and pursue any other remedy available to us if you breach this section.

Section 19Third-party services and links

We rely on third parties for payment processing, printing and fulfillment, shipping, email, and analytics. Their handling of your information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

The Site may link to third-party websites. We do not control them, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for their content, products, or practices. Follow those links at your own risk.

Section 20Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we handle it. By using the Site you agree to that policy.

You also agree that we may contact you electronically about your order — confirmations, shipping notices, and support replies. Marketing email is separate and only goes to people who opt in; you can unsubscribe at any time.

Section 21Disclaimer of warranties

The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that product descriptions, pricing, or other content are complete or current. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Section 22Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our officers, employees, suppliers, and fulfillment partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or connected to the site, our products, or these terms, whether based in contract, tort, strict liability, or any other theory, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or an order will not exceed the amount you actually paid us for the order giving rise to the claim.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

Section 23Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Joseph Kuzma and its officers, employees, and suppliers from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Site, content you post, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Section 24Events outside our control

We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by something beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters and severe weather, fire, epidemic, war, civil unrest, labor disputes, carrier delays, blank garment or ink shortages, utility or network outages, and acts of government. Where such an event delays an order, we will let you know and, if the delay is substantial, offer you the choice of waiting or cancelling for a full refund.

Section 25Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of FL, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and by applicable United States federal law. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Talk to us first. Before starting any formal proceeding, please email info@inappropriate-shirts.com with a description of the problem and what you want. Most disputes get resolved this way, and we ask for 30 days to work it out.

If we cannot resolve it, you and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Brevard County, FL, and each of us consents to personal jurisdiction there. Either of us may still bring an individual claim in small claims court where it qualifies.

Any claim must be brought within one year after it arises, or it is permanently barred, except where applicable law does not allow that limit.

Section 26Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our products, partners, or legal obligations change. The version in force when you place an order is the version that governs that order, so the current text is what applies to your next purchase. We will update the effective date at the top whenever we make a change, and material changes will be flagged on the Site. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Section 27General

Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, it is limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the rest stays in force.

No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.

Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these terms without our consent. We may assign ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

No third-party beneficiaries. These terms are between you and us, and create no rights for anyone else.

Headings. Section headings are for convenience and do not affect interpretation.
