Q&A
What should I do if my shower head is leaking or the pressure has decreased?
1) Please make sure that both O-rings are secured, 1 at the top and 1 at the bottom of the shower filter.
2) Please be sure to ONLY use 2 rounds of Teflon tape, too much tape can cause bulkiness and lead to a poor seal.
How often do I need to replace Weddell Duo's filters?
You should change your filters if any of the following occurs: 1) 5-6 months has passed, 2) you notice decreased water pressure and/or filter discoloration, or 3) when the rated capacity of the filter cartridge has been reached. The frequency of replacement depends on your water usage and the quality of your water supply. Regular replacement ensures that your shower water remains clean and safe.
Does Weddell Duo affect the water pressure in my shower?
Weddell Duo is designed to have minimal impact on water pressure. Since our maximum Gallons Per Minute (GPM) rate is 2.8 GPM, which is much higher than typical shower heads (2.5 GPM or less), your overall water pressure will be determined not by Weddell Duo, but by your shower head. However, as Weddell Duo reaches its full capacity, the accumulation of filtered impurities may slow down the water pressure. This is an indication that it's time to replace the filter cartridges to ensure optimal performance and maintain water pressure.
Does Weddell Duo work as a water softener?
Weddell Duo is not designed to lower the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in your water supply, so we do not recommend using it as your primary water softener. However, due to its exceptional filtration precision, it effectively reduces a wide range of impurities from your water, including limescale.
